"Mankatha" a movie starring Vijay and Srikanth, is getting ready to hit the screens and it has already generated a lot of buzz in the film fraternity. The story is based on the life of Prince Charles Spencer who was married to an English lady from Tamil Nadu and changed the face of India forever by marrying her. His life and character are so inspiring that his deeds are being depicted in many movies and plays. The film "Mankatha" which goes by the name "Vijay" is all set to be a super hit among Tamil movie lovers, besides being a great romantic comedy too. So let us know more about the film and how much it is going to be enjoyed by viewers in India.

"Mankatha" is the first Indian movie directed by Vijay. The story revolves around a Prince who falls in love with a human girl called Kairi. He trains her to become a ninja but she soon goes over the edge. Prince Chinn (Vijay) trains her to fight a deadly predator called the serpent of silence who also takes an interest in Kairi. This movie is a good example of how martial arts can be blended with live-action for tamil audiences.

Another upcoming movie in the Tamil filmography is "Arogya" starring Vijay, where he plays a prominent character. This movie is scheduled to be released in the first week of April. Another rumor is that Ravi Teja will be playing a key role in the second season of Tamil cinema "Nanban". This movie is scheduled to release in the middle of April and has already confirmed its star -Ravi Teja. "Nanban" is a remake of an old Tamil movie called "Iruvar". Tejera (Kazlaus), a tailor in Iruvar's shop finds out that Nanban is based on the novel "Palitham", in which the main character is a reincarnated emperor who tries to reunite his country and rule it. This movie is directed by S.S. Rajamouli.

A Chinese movie called "Lapine" is scheduled to be released in the first week of April. The movie revolves around a Chinese princess who falls in love with a local boy. But the girl's father dies and she becomes the sole heir to the throne of her father. This movie will be available on the theater's screens from April. It will be interesting to see what kind of impact this movie will have on the tamil theaters.

Apart from these two movies that are expected to hit the screens in April, some other tamilrockers latest  are set to release in the first week of April. Another upcoming movie is "Dhoom Reloaded", which is expected to be released in April. A Chinese movie called "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" is also scheduled to hit the screens this month. A Kamal has been postponed after some members of the audience complained about the scenes in the movie. No word has been given yet as to when the movie will be released.

Some more Tamil movies in the pipeline are "Nanban", which will be released in the second half of the year, and "Mankatha" which is scheduled to hit the screens at the beginning of next year. Both these movies are based on Hindu mythological stories. The movie about the monkey in the temple is sure to gain popularity among the masses. There are also other upcoming Tamil movies like "Chinn", "Tanu" starring Ajit Plunkett, "Singh is King" starring Vijay, and a remake of Hindi movie "Chak De! India" starring Sanjay Leela Bhansali and more.

With the popularity of Tamil movies, it is expected that the movie theaters in Tamil Nadu will witness a significant rise in business during the first quarter of this year. Many big-budget Tamil movies are likely to perform strongly in the first few months of 2021. Many of these movies have been receiving international acclaim and have managed to score a substantial number of awards at various film festivals. The real battle between art and science in the subcontinent is likely to take place in the coming years when people begin to vote for best film fare at the Academy Awards.
