Technology Helping to Make Life Easier

technology helping to make life easier

I grew up without computers, PDAs, or mobile phones in the 1960s and 1970s. There were no microwaves, DVD players, or MP3 players, and only approximately 7 decent television channels. We didn't remain at home and play video games all day since there weren't any at the time. Instead, we went outdoors and played, spoke on the phone with our pals, and listened to music.
I explained this to my two kids the other day, and they were both shocked, since this idea was difficult for them to grasp. I'm sure I did the same thing as a kid when my parents told me about their youth and how things were back then.
Technology, we are told, is here to make our lives simpler. The microwave allows us to cook meals more quickly. We can obtain information quicker and keep in touch with friends, family, and business partners thanks to the internet. We have more television channels to provide us with more options, mobile phones to keep in contact with one another, and laptop computers to access the internet from anywhere on the globe.

Let's take another look at the final paragraph.

From where I'm sitting, it seems like all of our advanced contemporary technology has done the exact opposite: it has made our lives even more chaotic! Instead of giving us more time, it has given us less.
Consider your parent's youth and what life was like when you were in your twenties and thirties. Consider your own youth if you're in your forties or older (like me... sigh). When the office hours were over, what happened to everyone? What occurred after individuals got home from work?

What exactly did they do?

They took a break.
They had time to think, ponder, and relax, which is something that very few of us do in today's society.
We didn't have mobile phones or laptop computers when I was a kid, so we relaxed by going out to eat, taking walks, watching TV, listening to music, or reading a book. We shut off our brains for a time and let them recharge on their own.
This has been taken away from us by modern technologies. When we come home from work, we work on our computers and continuously check our PDAs instead of relaxing. We carry our phones with us and answer them wherever we are... at restaurants, on flights, in movie theatres, on soccer fields, in our cars... everywhere!

When do we take a break and allow our brains to switch off for a while?

Things have become more difficult as a result of modern technologies. It has released a monster known as stress, which is sickening and exhausting our planet. It draws our attention away from the task at hand. It has us under its control!
Do you know what the Terminator movies are about? Is this the one in which robots control the world? What's more, guess what? Our planet is ruled by machines. They don't control the world in just the same manner as in the movie, but they do. Technology is in charge.

Stress is a terrible condition that leads to even worse illnesses, yet there are no medicines available to treat it. Stress kills, and there's only one way to get rid of it.

You must take a break.

Ron and I just took our sons to Disneyworld in Florida. We brought our phones and laptops so we could check our email and voice mail while we were there. The mobile phones, on the other hand, largely remained in the hotel since we forgot to bring them, and we never even switched on the laptop. We spent nearly a week without checking any of our emails before we realized it. I checked them around midway through the week and answered a few calls, but everything remained switched off for the most part.

Is the world coming to an end? Is it true that we've lost our business? Are there any customers who have left?

Nope.
We returned the calls, answered the emails, and life went on as usual when we got home. Of course, we were exhausted (have you ever visited four theme parks in four days?) However, nothing occurred. The world as we know it did not come to an end!!! Instead, since we were rejuvenated and calm, we were able to concentrate on the task at hand.
Technology improves our capacity to do tasks. We can do research, prepare, and communicate with others more quickly. It does, however, make us feel compelled to be in touch all of the time! We believe we are obligated to check our email at 10:00 p.m., to answer the phone throughout dinner, and to check our PDA every hour, regardless of where we are.

With vast online shopping, you may save even more money by using coupons.

On the Internet, shopping has never been simpler. You can put anything in your virtual shopping basket with only a few mouse clicks. Has the item delivered straight to your house once you've made your payment? But, before you click the checkout button, keep in mind that inputting certain discount coupons may save you a lot of money. Like Jekkle discount code.
It isn't a genuine coupon, after all. A string of words is referred to as a shopping coupon on the Internet. Your discount code is this string. Simply enter the coupon during the checkout process to get the discount. If your coupon is genuine, you will get a discount on your order. You may use these coupons to buy anything from little too large. You may purchase gadgets, presents, and even other electronic equipment’s at best prices by using Becextech discount code.

When do you relax and switch off your mind?

Everyone, I realize, wants to go ahead. That is something I completely understand. However, taking a few steps back every now and then to get a clearer look at where you want to go is necessary in order to go ahead.

So, what are our options?

After supper, we may switch off the computer and not turn it back on until the morning. We may put our mobile phones off now and then and let voice mail take care of it. We could go for a stroll. Without the laptop, we can go on vacation. We can even go on vacation without checking our voice mail more than once! The world will not come to an end! People may believe you've been kidnapped, but so what? You'll get in contact with them again.
Your body will break down if you do not relax and allow your body and brain to recharge. Finally, technology will rob you of the real quality of life since it will be sick, and you will be unable to accomplish what you desire.

So, here's the deal: I'm going to give you a challenge...

I dare everyone reading this post to go a day or two without using their phone and see what happens. I dare you to switch off your computer at about 6 p.m. every night for a week and not turn it back on until the following morning under any circumstances. Then keep an eye on what occurs!

Everyone tells you that you should eat well and exercise often. That is absolutely correct! However, there is a third, even more, crucial aspect of life: you must relax!
So, switch off your thoughts for a bit. Put on some music. Get a book and read it. Speak with your children. Let's go shopping. Attend a comedy performance and have a good time.

Don't ignore what your body is trying to tell you! I'm sure it's been pleading with you to slow down and take a breath. Pay attention to it. It understands what it is doing.

That's all there is to it.

Let's have a look... On my computer, I'm writing an essay on the dangers of technology; my phone is buzzing next to me, and an email has just come.

Hmm... I think it's time to take a vacation!

Thank you for giving your 6 minute :)
