In 2025, the idea of Naye Raste was born from a simple but powerful realization — freshness in spices is disappearing from the modern market.
The Problem I Noticed
In today’s spice industry, most brands sell pre-made masalas that are blended in bulk, stored for months, and finally reach customers with reduced aroma and compromised quality. As a consumer, Over time, I realized that:
Why isn’t there an option to buy spices that are blended fresh, only when I order them?
If someone wants just 100 grams of Sabji Masala or Garam Masala Blend on Order, the online market offers almost no solution. Customers are forced to buy pre-packed products made long before they reach their kitchen.
Inspiration from Local Spice Shops
In local markets, I discovered something different. A few traditional spice shops still follow an honest process:
Whole spices are weighed in front of the customer
Each ingredient is visible and transparent
Spices are ground fresh, on the spot
This method delivers superior aroma, better taste, and higher trust. However, even here I noticed challenges. Sometimes, if a particular whole spice was unavailable, shopkeepers would silently skip it. This showed me that there were still gaps in the process.

Over time, I realized that there is a clear difference in quality:
